Nope, instead if you click on your settings and find the "Apps and sales channel" tab. From there find the Google channel.
This is where you can edit ALL of your products in bulk and also where you'll find a mysterious "barcode" field. Paste this in it: [identifier_exists] [no]
You will still want to make sure under the Custom Product field you select "True"
We do have custom products because we're savvy like that.
Once you update all your wonderful, handmade goods with this info that error you were getting for no manufacture part number will be gone - instantly.
Anyhow, I just wanted to get this info out ASAP because it gave me so much grief for such a long time and this kind of thing shouldn't bog down hard working craftsmen.
